Eliadah McCord, a young Houston woman who was sentenced to life in prison when she was caught with a few pounds of heroin that she agreed to carry for an acquaintance. During four years in prison, McCord was considered a model prisoner and argued for clemency because of the help she provided both the Bangladeshis and the Drug Enforcement Agency in busting drug dealers.

After several trips to plead her case, Richardson eventually secures the release of McCord in July 1996.
